Although popular before this year, one of the top trending themes for home design is entertainment. Whether you are having a large gathering with friends and family or hanging out having a relaxing night, there are a lot of ways to create a functional floor plan perfect for entertaining. One key aspect to entertaining is having an open floor plan to allow guests an open path to socialize.

Starting with the kitchen, having an open floor plan allows you to maximize space and connect you with others whether they are in the dining room, living room, or outdoor area. An open floor plan that connects to the living room and outdoor living area, gives the best of both worlds when having guests over. Guests can flow from one room to another without going through multiple doors to socialize. Always feeling part of the action.
