Arches in Interior Design

This article will discuss how to incorporate arches in interior design.

Arches in Interior Design

Something we have been seeing a lot in interior design right now is arched. Arched doors, walls, nooks, furniture, and more. This is not a new trend, but it is making a comeback right now. An arched doorway or nook feels more timeless and beautiful. Here is how to incorporate arches in interior design.

Bathroom Arch

This arched bathtub nook we designed presents a romantic setting. The natural lighting and view of the garden from the arched window feel like you are in the Italian countryside.

Bedroom Arch

Here we created an arched bedroom nook that also acts as an accent wall with a gold sparkle finish.

Arched Doorway

More commonly you will see arches being used indoors and hallways to open up space and make the rooms flow more seamlessly. This custom molding presents a more elegant look for each archway.

Kitchen Arches

We carried the arches throughout the whole home to unify the design in each room. This kitchen uses a ton of different arches to complement the design. The arched ceiling in this kitchen acts as a skylight for natural lighting. Each home we’ve designed is custom and very different from the next. We recently have been using these arch ceilings in the kitchens to open up space and make the room feel more spacious.

Building a luxury custom home requires more than strong ideas in separate phases. It requires architecture, interior design, and construction to work together from the beginning. In high end residential design, every decision affects another, which is why a more collaborative process often leads to a better final result. A ceiling detail can influence lighting. Cabinetry design can affect framing and electrical planning. Material selections can impact installation, timelines, and architectural detailing. When these disciplines are aligned early, the home feels more cohesive, more intentional, and more fully resolved. At Fratantoni, our in house teams at Fratantoni Design, Fratantoni Interior Designers, and Fratantoni Luxury Estates work together to create luxury homes that are thoughtfully developed from concept to completion.

Building a custom home is one of the most exciting opportunities a homeowner can experience. It is a chance to create a residence that reflects your lifestyle, aesthetic, and long term vision in a way that feels deeply personal. For luxury homeowners, that process should be intentional from the very beginning. Every room, finish, architectural detail, and functional feature should work together to create a home that feels cohesive, elevated, and entirely custom. One of the biggest mistakes homeowners make when building a new home is waiting too long to involve an interior designer. Many people assume interior design begins after the floor plan is complete or once construction has already started. In reality, the most successful luxury homes begin with interior design much earlier in the process.
