Keeping up on the latest and greatest interior design trends is one thing that Fratantoni Interior Designers are proud of. With constant research and attention to market details, our team has noticed a significant shift in trends of 2022, with everything from home style to the newest appliances on the market.

Interior Design Trends

One of Fratantoni Interior Designers, Shannon, has noticed a shift in home style:

“Design elements, suggested by clients, have been transitioning into a more modern, design style. Although our clients do in fact appreciate the classical elements of traditional and eclectic design– with intricate detail, they have also been interested in the more modern design styles that we are seeing today.

Here at Fratantoni, we accommodate both styles — a combination of new modern trends (straight lines, lighter tones, materials & finishes, minimalism, stark contrasts, etc.), as well traditional.

We ensure that these two aspects meet in the middle– and more importantly, ensure to meet our client’s wishes. And Fratantoni can accommodate this combination perfectly – meeting the client’s expectations as we pull in elements from modernism, all the way to traditional design. “

Bringing clients, the latest trends and designs is possible by traveling and inspiration from different cultures, lifestyles, and architecture. Through both work and personal travel, Fratantoni Interior Designers bring new ideas to the table every day.

One example of a more modern trend Fratantoni home with lighter tones and materials is the Formal Mediterranean which you can find in our portfolio! This home has elegant pieces with straight lines and neutral tones. Marble can be found throughout the home in an array of places including the kitchen and double grand staircase. Throughout the Formal Mediterranean kitchen, marble countertops allow for an easier clean-up with straight surfaces! The cabinets are white which balances the accent of the grey ceiling. Throughout a modern floor plan, along with neutral colors, you will find more open floor plans, natural light, large windows, and creative modern technology.

Exceptional illumination does far more than simply brighten a room. It dictates the entire emotional resonance of a space and defines the architectural mood. When curated with exacting precision, customized illumination transcends mere function to become breathtaking physical art.

Building a luxury custom home requires more than strong ideas in separate phases. It requires architecture, interior design, and construction to work together from the beginning. In high end residential interior design, every decision affects another, which is why a more collaborative process often leads to a better final result. A ceiling detail can influence lighting. Cabinetry design can affect framing and electrical planning. Material selections can impact installation, timelines, and architectural detailing. When these disciplines are aligned early, the home feels more cohesive, more intentional, and more fully resolved. At Fratantoni, our in house teams at Fratantoni Design , Fratantoni Interior Designers, and Fratantoni Luxury Estates work together to create luxury homes that are thoughtfully developed from concept to completion.

Building a custom home is one of the most exciting opportunities a homeowner can experience. It is a chance to create a residence that reflects your lifestyle, aesthetic, and long term vision in a way that feels deeply personal. For luxury homeowners, that process should be intentional from the very beginning. Every room, finish, architectural detail, and functional feature should work together to create a home that feels cohesive, elevated, and entirely custom. One of the biggest mistakes homeowners make when building a new home is waiting too long to involve an interior designer. Many people assume interior design begins after the floor plan is complete or once construction has already started. In reality, the most successful luxury homes begin with interior design much earlier in the process.
