Designing Your Dream Home

As a nationwide interior design firm, we see all different styles of homes. From contemporary to Mediterranean, and everything in between. Your opportunities are endless while designing your dream home.

One initial question our custom home interior designers ask our clients is “Do you have a ‘dream home’ style preference?”. Oftentimes, families have certain aspects of their homes that they 100% have a vision for, and their Pinterest is ready with ideas! While on the contrary, some clients have patterns, colors, and even textures they love and would like incorporated into their designs. After the initial meeting, our interior designers will take client inspiration photos, videos, and ideas and paired with our expertise, will create designs that are one-of-a-kind and unique to only you and your family.

Below are two styles that are aesthetically different than each other but are complementary to one another. The modern-traditional and Tuscan styles are commonly used today.

Dream Home Styles

Modern- Traditional Style

For a modern aesthetic and style, modern homes have clean-line elements with asymmetrical compositions and often use natural materials both indoors and outdoors. With the use of natural materials, Modern homes have an emphasis on bringing the outdoors, indoor and multifunctional spaces. The interior of the home has large, spacious floor plans and natural lighting from floor-to-ceiling windows.

Here at Fratantoni Interior Designers, our luxury home interior designers accommodate all different styles and often use not just one, but many to create a client’s dream home look.

Tuscan Style

Contrary to a modern style, with a style such as Tuscan, both the architectural elements and overall aesthetic have differences. Tuscan-style homes lean into curves and arches and have a focus on bringing in eclectic and symmetrical shapes, warm colors, and textured finishes. Elegantly detailed ironwork, terra-cotta tiles, and crumbled stone can be found throughout Tuscan homes.

Dream Home Styles

Every individual has a vision of their dream home that is different, and that is why at Fratantoni Interior Designers we love designing homes for our clients and working together to create their overall vision. A home is where you find comfort and peace and we love being part of the interior design journey!

When most people think about interior design, they imagine furniture, finishes, and final styling. In reality, the most successful luxury interiors are shaped long before any of those decisions are made. For custom homes and high-end renovations, interior design should begin at the architectural planning stage , not after construction documents are complete. When interior designers are involved early, they help shape the very framework of how a home functions, feels, and lives for decades to come. This early collaboration is one of the most overlooked advantages in luxury home design, and one that discerning homeowners increasingly prioritize.

Luxury interior design in 2026 is no longer defined by excess, trend saturation, or price alone. Today’s most discerning homeowners are seeking something far more refined: intentional design, expert execution, and spaces that feel deeply personal while remaining timeless. As expectations rise, the definition of true luxury has evolved into a balance of craftsmanship, lifestyle alignment, and thoughtful restraint. Understanding what genuinely defines luxury interior design is essential for homeowners building or renovating custom homes, especially those investing at a high level. In 2026, luxury is not about what is added, but about what is curated, refined, and designed with purpose.
